(AGI) Isernia - A 28 year-old policeman was killed in a head-on crash with a truck. The victim, Giuseppe Iacovone, was born in Capriati a Volturno, in the province of Caserta and was on duty for the police in Isernia. The tragedy occurred in the late afternoon, along the Venafrana highway, near Macchia dIsernia. A car didnt stop when it was halted at a road block. The police car immediately went after it but during the pursuit it crashed into a truck. How the accident actually happened is yet to be ascertained. Iacovone was struck dead while his colleague was injured. |
