Killed in a road traffic accident when his police motorcycle was in a collision with a car at Pumpherston, near Livingston, West Lothian, while working on secondment with the Scottish Crime and Drug Enforcement Agency. Malcolm was appointed in March 1996 following service as a Special Constable; he worked on beat duties and in the CID before being seconded to the SCDEA in January 2005 on specialist duties relating to serious crime. He had two commendations for good police work. He was survived by his wife and daughters aged 20 and 17, mother, two brothers and sister. |
